I seem to have developed a happy knack for working with my heroes.
I first left New Zealand in the mid 1980's to visit fellow fans of The Stranglers here in the UK. A year later I found myself working with their album cover designer, Jean Luke Epstein, and for ten years worked in and around the music industry in London for a wide range of record companies and artists.
In the early 2000's as a self-teaching project I built a fan site for the 80's blues band The Screaming Blue Messiahs. This led to meeting the band and assisting in developing a live album release.
By 2010 I had rekindled my interest in 70's science fiction illustration, and collaborated with Chris Foss on a scale replica of one of his spaceship paintings.
By the late 90's I was an avid PlayStation gamer, and one of my top titles was Colin McRae Rally, produced by Codemasters. I eventually joined the company as a graphic designer working on this and other titles.
Following a move south again I joined Milestone, a marketing agency, and worked for several years on accounts for Vodafone, Hasbro Toys, Hyundai and Daler Rowney.
I currently work from my home office in Milton Keynes. I produce design and artwork for brochures, posters, catalogues, web sites, advertising, logo design, illustration and graphic design for web and print.
My client base is just as diverse as it always was; from motorsport to accountancy firms, and radio stations to design studios.
